The City of Roswell is gearing up to unveil a new cultural plaza behind the Chaves County courthouse, addressing long-standing issues with event locations and parking. With features like a stage, shade, and seating, the plaza aims to alleviate pressure on downtown businesses during large events and provide a centralized space for community gatherings. Funded partly by Main Street Roswell and Chaves County, the $2.2 million project is expected to commence construction in August, with completion anticipated within a year. Once finished, the plaza is poised to become a focal point for annual festivals and celebrations, including the renowned UFO Festival.
